Extended to November 6

Contest is Now Closed. Thank you for your entries.

We previously shared with you information about the Macy’s Path to Peace Project.  It is a wonderful project promoting self-reliance while helping woman of Rwanda regain control of and rebuild their lives. And now you have the opportunity to win your very own “O” Bracelet.

The O Bracelet was just featured in O Magazine and The Blogrollers were recently wearing (and gave away) these lovely bracelets at the Type A Mom Conference. Each bracelet in this series is hand-made by two women–a weaver in Rwanda and a jewelry artist in New Orleans. Besides being a beautiful accessory, the message is all about partnership and the possibilities which occur when we work together. Read the O Magazine article about Path to Peace Movement.

Starting today, October 25, 2009 and continuing until midnight on October 29 November 6, 2009 Moms of Hue will be accepting entries into our “Passion for Path to Peace” contest. One lucky winner will be selected to win his/her very own Path to Peace bracelet.

I am the mom of 2 girls. I make it my business to tell them every chance I get how important they are and how beautiful they are. I believe it’s very important to spend as much time with your girls to ensure they’re aware and will believe that they can come to you with anything. My first born is in her 20′s and now I’m starting this mommyhood thing all over again with a new baby. It is my hope that they will believe that they are beautiful and very important.

I empower the women in my life by encouraging them to stand strong no matter what trials they go through and I am always looking for resources that can help them do just that, be it books they can read or support organizations thay can join.

I am a stay at home mom with my 5 1/2 year old daughter (now in full day kindergarden) and since the day she was born I have told her she can be who she wants to be and the sky is the limit. I also tell my friends and their daughters the same thing.

I am the only female in the house so I have to stop myself from trying to do EVERTHING myself and remember to delegate some of the responsibilities to the boys.

K. Rock November 3, 2009 at 3:28 pm

I am a mom to 1 boy and 2 lovely daughters. I know that I am the sole most important female in their life and I take that job very seriously. I make sure that I am a good example to them daily by showing them how to be little ladies. One day they will appreciate that.

I am a single mom to two girls, and from day one, have been teaching them to be independent

Rose November 4, 2009 at 9:28 am

I support political candidates who are open in supporting the rights of women and civil liberties and prove it with their actions in office. I also have a daughter who has several advanced degrees from the Ivy League and was taught early on to support herself without the help of a man.

Mimi the kitten November 4, 2009 at 10:24 pm

I empower the women in my life by praying for them, rejoicing with them when they rejoice and weeping with them when they weep, and pointing out all the ways God has made them amazing.
