Anger, Tirades and Resolution

Yesterday I re-learned a lesson about keeping my word. I felt a bit humiliated by it being 38 and re-learning something as basic as keeping one’s word, but I guess I needed a reminder about just how much we depend on one another to be who we present and say we are. No excuses and at the end of the day no reasons, I stepped up and was all ready to do what I initially committed to doing.

Funny thing happened. I voiced a concern for why I felt I might not be able to keep my word and because someone else was able to be sympathetic, a compromise was made and it appeared to work out for everyone involved. Goodness gracious was I grateful! The ramifications of my last minute change of heart will actually be seen in the future and I am sure there are consequences, but what really concerned me about my interaction with others was my absolute certainty that I was not really beholden to anyone and I could do as I pleased. Typically, I consider how my actions affects others quite a bit more.

It was in this moment, that I took a step back and looked at myself in the proverbial mirror and started to connect some dots. Wha I found were several instances where I have been less than understanding and angry with others. Why am I becoming such an undisciplined and angry person?

An avid astrologist, I ran a transit chart and was instantly reminded of a brief article I wrote on astromama.com informing folks of coming transits that may have a negative impact on our interactions with others. Really? Is that what all of this is about my unconsciousness fear and anger expressed directly and passive aggressively. Feeling all bad about myself and guilty, I picked up an old book that was given to me by the son of a deceased astrologer friend. I find the following prayer on a sheet of paper in the book:

From the point of Light within the mind of Spirit, let light stream forth into the minds of men
Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the heart of Spirit, let love stream forth into the hearts of men
Love descend on Earth.
From the center where Spirit’s will is known, let Divine Purpose guide the little wills of men,
Divine Purpose descend on Earth
Let Light, Love and Divine Purpose restore the plan on Earth.

Grateful for the words from beyond, I went to sleep and awoke this morning knowing my Spirit is instantly forgiven and dwells in peace. Restored, I welcome a great Halloween weekend. Enjoy!
