		<description>Sometimes it really can be a double edged sword. I think, because as much as this practice was initially put in place to heal, it can be used by some to hurt. As with all other things in our society and societies abroad, nagativity is applied to tactics of equality, which leaves us in a rat race to come up with the next best tool.</description>

		<description>I think, I too, in a similar state of naivete felt affirmative action somehow meant, I was &quot;less than&quot;. My initial reaction was one of disdain, feeling that its presence somehow negated my efforts, exceptional performance and education. It didn&#039;t take long to see the other side of &quot;the game&quot;. Do I like the idea of affirmative action in theory...I don&#039;t know. In practice, do I see any other way to level the &quot;playing field&quot;-absolutely not. Would I like to? Certainly.
